Who am I and why do I write about food? Well, I'm a former caterer and personal chef who was raised on a 3-acre family farm. I grew up eating fresh, seasonal stuff and the meat we raised - not because it was trendy, but because it was cheap! Mom and Dad were both very into food; because there wasn't much money, we used food for entertainment. I still cook all the time for friends and family. This blog was setup as a venue for my rants about ingredients, yummalicious recipes, and brief essays about everything edible.
